还是 (háishì)vs或者 (huòzhě)

Both mean "or", but one is strictly for questions and the other is strictly for statements.

还是 (háishì)

Used exclusively in questions to offer a choice between A or B.

或者 (huòzhě)

Used exclusively in declarative statements to state a choice or possibility.
